Captain Alicia Little

Capt. Alicia grew up here locally right across the bridge in Portland, Texas.  She married the love of her life, Capt. John Little in 1999 and they moved to Marathon, Florida while he was serving in the United States Coast Guard. Together they were on the water almost daily, enjoying the clear waters of the Florida Keys.

Capt. Alicia has 2 daughters that have been raised on the water and love fishing as much as she does. If you’ve fished with Little Fishin Trips before, you might have seen them on a trip, as they serve as deck hands for both mom and dad during the summertime.

After Capt. Alicia’s two girls started school, she went back to school for herself and received a Bachelor degree in Kinesiology and Special Education at Texas A&M Corpus Christi and then went on to obtain a Masters degree in Counseling from Lamar University. While she loves being outdoors and taking folks fishing, she has a passion for teaching our children.

In 2016 she decided to take her passion for teaching to the water and got her Coast Guard License. Now today, as a part-time fishing guide, she continues to ‘teach’ people to love the water and the value of conservation in our bay systems, after fishing with her, you will surely love the experience as much as she does.

She has been fishing the Laguna Madre , Baffin bay and the Land Cut for the past 20 years along with Capt. John Little, being her mentor and guide along the way.
